The value for money is unbeatable. Rooms are clean and everything you need.
I don't like the upstairs rooms as you have to carry your bag up the stairs, no lift.

What was the highlight of Cairns Colonial Club Resort
Wonderful
Loved the size of the resort, the pools were excellent, the bar/cafe was good if a little on the expensive side. The Italian was the same, nice food but a little expensive. Our room or suite was large and had everything we needed, only a couple of small snags from our stay and room though, firstly the bathroom door was a sliding door, not a problem, however it left a big gap between the door and the frame, there was also no lock. Not usually a problem for a couple or a family, but a group of friends maybe a little awkward. Secondly the AC unit the cold air was only coming downwards, despite changing it on the remote control to send it across the room, resulting in a freezing cold bed and two really warm beds on the other side of the room. Other than that, a great family resort, great access to local activities, friendly helpful staff and would definitely go there again.
